Vincent | Older Newborn

Vincent was 9 weeks old when we did his session. Yes, you can do your session later on if you want bub to have developed some personality and to hopefully give us some smiles. This little fellow was also so beautifully chubby being that little bit older.  And we were able to capture a bit of both worlds – sleepy and wide awake. We even got a couple of snaps of his very proud big sister.

Bilpin Resort | Hawkesbury | Wedding | Hannah & Phil

Hannah and Phil married in the very woodsy “Secret Circle” at Bilpin Resort. Some compare the experience as walking into the Twilight films and I find that it brings up nostalgia of The Magic faraway Tree books from my childhood. I tell you, you might just want to believe in fairies after you see this place. And the mushrooms!!!

Hannah infused this celebration with her love for foxes, rabbits and the enchanted. The aisle was lined with ceramic mushrooms, plush rabbits tree stumps and faux fox tails. They married beneath an arch of flowers and vines. The guests sat along the tree trunk benches in the centre of the Secret Circle, to watch this sweet couple say their I do’s. It is literally a circle clearing within the woods. It is very magical and enchanting.

The woodsy theme followed us into the reception where there were plenty more fox and rabbit appearances, vine bunting and gorgeous blooms.

This was a beautiful and enchanted day. I loved the DIY and personal touches.

Settlers | Mulgoa | Wedding | Amy & Dale

Amy and Dale had an intimate wedding at Settlers in Mulgoa – a gorgeous spot at the foot of the Blue Mountains. The weather was perfect for their garden reception that was drenched in the afternoon sun. I am certain that the twin flower girls were the cutest members of a bridal party that anyone ever saw! The blooms were bright and vibrant in pretty pink and peachy hues, as was the amazing cake that was covered in hundreds and thousands! – The inside of the cake was even rainbow!

This was a beautiful, colourful and fun celebration. My favourite time would have to be capturing their slow exposure sparkler shot beneath the stars! Congratulations to Mr & Mrs M.

Cabbage Tree Lookout | Grosvale | Engagement | Holly & Brad

Holly and Brad chose the very scenic and peaceful surroundings at Cabbage Tree Lookout at Grosvale for their engagement session. This couple is so incredibly fun and sweet and it was so refreshing to have a good laugh with them.

Brad proposed to Holly at their favourite park. He had organised two of his closest friends to set up a surprise picnic that included an assortment of all of Holly’s favourite foods and even had music playing in the background – So romantic! But in disbelief that Brad could have set the picnic setting up, Holly was hesitant to follow him and ran away because she thought he was crashing someone else’s lunch! (How hilarious!!) He ran after her, got down on his knee and asked Holly to marry him… And then they enjoyed the gorgeous picnic he had prepared.

Holly and Brad are marrying at Bilpin Resort this winter. Their wedding is going to be a reflection of their personalities. It’s going to be a big party where they can laugh and celebrate with their closest friends and family. They’re going for a vintage/boho theme with splashes of colour and fun. Any celebration filled with personality and colour is one to look forward to!

Colo | Hawkesbury | Engagement | Rach & Adam

Rachael and Adam chose Ararat Lodge in Upper Colo for their engagement shoot location as it was where they first got together. With its tall trees, long grass and old cattle yards, who could resist?!

Adam proposed to Rach on Good Friday of last year at a close friends property. After strategically hiding the ring (that he designed) in a Kinder Surprise he rushed around to get Rach to the top of the hill overlooking the property before the sun went down. They just made it! They sat on the tailgate of their ute, watching the sun slip away and chatting about their life together, over a beer and Kinder Surprises. After hassling her for the ‘toy,’ Adam jumped down to one knee, stumbled on his words and asked Rach to marry him. Insert “Awwwww!” here.

Rach and Adam married on April 25th, 2015 – ANZAC Day. All of their milestones and big events have happened in April so it seemed natural to tie the knot in the same month. ANZAC day has always meant a lot to both of them, and when they saw that the centenary fell on a Saturday the decision was made – even before they became engaged!

Stay tuned for a gorgeous Anzac, barn wedding to be on the blog soon!

Allegro | Kenthurst | Wedding | Laura & Daniel

Laura and Daniel married on a drizzly day at the very pretty Allegro Function Centre in Kenthurst. The rain stopped for the garden ceremony leaving the trees very green and lush – just the way we like it! The garden there is just so pretty. Laura walked her way up the petal covered deck behind the cutest page boy ever and to a groom with the most infectious smile (as you will see.)

We love working with our favourites in the industry, one of which is the gorgeous celebrant – Laurel, from With Love from LA. We also love to work with and meet new vendors, so we were thrilled to meet the violinist Corrie Haskins who played live at the ceremony.

This was a beautiful, intimate wedding which we loved being part of. Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs!

Oatlands House | Oatlands | Wedding | Amy & Adam

Amy and Adam were married at the old St John’s Catholic Church in Campbelltown followed by a gorgeous reception at Oatlands House. There were plenty of toasts and cheers and a burning dance floor – This was the party to be at with the dancing continuing right until the very end of the night!

Amy and Adam are like two peas in a pod. They are both such genuine and nice people and they look perfect for each other – You know when you meet a couple and they just look so right together? Well, that’s them!

I absolutely loved Amy’s dress and her shoes! The overall feel of the day was elegant with some vintage inspiration. And Oatlands House was the perfect venue for this occasion with it’s gorgeous gardens and classic interior. What a beautiful wedding.

Twin Creeks Golf & Country Club | Luddenham | Wedding | Ashleigh & Andrew

Ashleigh and Andrew are high school sweethearts having been together for more than a decade. Ashleigh is calm, rational and quiet. And Andrew is eccentric, dramatic and loud. They are opposites that fit so well together.

They had their ceremony and reception at Twin Creeks Golf and Country Club in Luddenham. Though the rain was lurking overhead, the ceremony remained clear and they were married in the garden beneath a timber arbor that a friend had made just for them. The arbor was decorated with some gorgeous blooms that matched the bouquets as well as some of the plants from Ashleigh and Andrew’s garden (which the groom was very proud about.) This arbor was spectacular! Another special touch to the ceremony involved the wedding bands being passed to all the guests (inside a bag that Andrew’s mother made) to hold to their hearts and bless.

Following the ceremony, the bridal party drove around the golf course in carts, (They were very excited about this. You would be too, right?) to scout out photography locations. The beautifully cloudy day gave a lovely, soft light that photographed so nicely.

There was no shortage of laughs at the reception. The speeches were hilarious, especially the groom’s. When he said he was going to work his way around the room to say something about each of his guests (as they were all special), I didn’t think that he was serious. But he sure was! (45 laughing filled minutes later….)

This was a fun filled day.

Curzon Hall | Marsfield | Wedding | Larissa & Rich

Larissa and Rich met each other at work in Canberra. Having both grown up in Sydney, they made the trek back home to celebrate their special day with their families.

They were married at St Martin’s Anglican Church in Kilara followed by a reception at Curzon Hall. Both the church and the venue were ornate and grand giving the overall feel of the wedding an elegance and charm. Following their ceremony, they had photographs at the stunning Wendy’s Garden in Lavender Bay – This is one of my favourite spots as the garden is gorgeous and in walking distance to the water where there is an amazing view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The reception was stunning – The high ceilings and ornate architecture of Curzon has a grandeur like no other. The selection of flowers reflected the elegance that was seen throughout the whole day. As favours, Larissa and Rich had Fortune cookies containing Bible verses.

The first dance and the father/daughter dance featured impressive choreographed routines. And to finish the evening off, we were able to break away out into the darkness to do a slow exposure sparkler shot.
