Ahhh I love these kids. Okay, I could be a little bias as James is my stepbrother. But I can truthfully say that I’d still think that they’re the coolest cats ever even if he wasn’t.
James and Emily are super down to earth, easy going and trendy. Their style and passion for each other really reflected in their wedding.
Ok, so let’s go back in time… James and Emily first met each other in high school. They were mates and got up to a bit if mischief together. With unrequited crushes on each other at different times, it just wasn’t their time yet. After school days, Emily moved to Sydney and James, well James kind of thought he had missed his chance. Returning back to New Castle about 12 months later, they met up and the rest is history. Soon later, they learned that they were expecting. They now have a gorgeous toddler together (my niece!), and to top off the love story, James proposed.
Their wedding had a romantic, eclectic feel. The girls prepared at a gorgeous 19th century property in Maitland. The ceremony and reception followed at the gorgeous Wedshed venue, Mindaribba House – A 100 acre farm with a white walled barn. Using the styling talents of a mothers niche and hiring eclectic vintage pieces from The Wedding Designer, James and Emily had a deliciously romantic and vintage celebration with a very chilled out vibe. The evening closed with a magical sparkler send off that could have gone terribly wrong – (Note: Do not light a bunch of sparklers at the same time. Explosions will happen.) Luckily no one was harmed and it’s now a funny story to tell.
