Miriam and Jake had a garden wedding at the Australian Botanic Garden followed by a DIY celebration on their family property. DIY weddings are one of our favourites as they are often unique and have the bride and groom’s original stamp on them. Having the majority of the wedding at Miriam’s parents home, also meant that their beloved fur baby, Charlie, made an appearance or two throughout the day (which was very special!)
The native gardens from the ceremony were reflected in Miriam’s bouquet and the floral arrangements of rich, red hues. A frenzy of colour continued on to the marquee reception that included a vintage festival vibe. A cosy arrangement of retro furniture, low banquet tables, crates, cushions and blankets made for the perfect setting to celebrate the day and enjoy delicious food and a vintage caravan bar.
As the day wore on, the marquee glowed under the starry night sky. Greenery draped from the ceiling with hanging glass candle teardrops – It was such a beautiful sight! The festivities carried on throughout the evening that included some traditional dancing to honour Miriam’s family heritage.
This wedding day was filled with love and a vibrant colour palette.
