Sometimes I have moments that blow me away. I often capture special memories for current friends, old friends and acquaintances and when I do, I always question – What are the odds? I think about my life – where I’ve been and who I have met and it blows me away that my destiny was to become a photographer and that I would one day reconnect with with familiar faces throughout my life and be given the responsibility to capture their weddings. It is such an honour and a blessing.
The reason for this little ramble is that lovely Lisa went to my high school. I was in the same grade as her older brother. Once again, I am reunited with people from my past and it is so amazing!
Lisa and Fel’s love story began when they met at work. A friendship grew into something much more and now the two are preparing to tie the knot.
We captured some memories of their engagement at Bicentennial Park in Homebush Bay. It is always so lovely to meet up with my couples again before their big day to have a chat, a laugh or two and to get in some practice! To be honest, there is not a lot of practice required, as our approach is so natural. It’s more to give my couples a feel for being photographed by me, so that they can relax and be themselves!
Lisa and Fel are getting married this Spring and I can’t wait to capture their big day.
