Krystal and Matt were married on a gorgeously golden Spring afternoon. They shared a simple, intimate garden ceremony with their nearest and dearest followed by a delicious high tea at Vine Cottage Events. Their two little boys took part in the entire day, both having special roles at the ceremony and later helping make a special announcement, that their family are expecting a new addition!

It was a beautiful afternoon that celebrated not only marriage, but family and a very exciting future.

Sarah and Tom tied the knot by the beach on the lawns of Cornucopia Cafe in Fannie Bay right at the top of Australia. Matt and I were very excited to fly all the way to Darwin to capture this relaxed affair. To do what we do is an honour and to be flown to another state to do our thing is really so incredibly humbling and rewarding.

Sarah and Tom’s day had a romantic, vintage feel. They had a garden ceremony by the beach with a reception to follow under the stars. They included their fur babies in the ceremony and shared the day with family and friends who had travelled from near and far (from all parts of Australia) to celebrate their love and future together.

It was amazing to shoot another wedding in Darwin and we hope to go back again REALLY soon.

Kylie and Michael had a very relaxed wedding at the rustic Blue Mountains venue – Collits Inn. It was an intimate occasion that involved both of their children and was above all a celebration of their family.

Their wedding had a rustic, Native Australian feel with the incorporation of their Scottish family roots in a celtic ceremony that included a hand fastening tradition to symbolise the coming together of their families and to highlight the importance of their children.

The beautiful Australian landscape and the candle lit barn reception provided the perfect scenery and ambience for this gorgeous celebration.

Kayla and Wes were married in a gorgeous garden ceremony at Burnham Grove Estate. The sunshine poured down, the florals were bright and so much love and joy could be felt throughout the entire day.

Their wedding had a vintage feel with a bright colour palette. The styling was simple so that the flowers would really pop – which indeed they did!

Kayla bought her own arbor to use in the ceremony. It was adorned with beautiful, bright blooms and starred as the main attraction in the garden ceremony setup. Kayla & Wes have that arbor in their own garden now as a keepsake from their wedding day as a reminder of their beautiful memories – How special is that?!

Today we had the pleasure of dressing up our very own stable at Confetti Fair to showcase our beautiful work. The very talented Jess, from a mothers niche, designed the perfect Scandinavian inspired setup for us to display some of our prints and products along with a assortment of GORGEOUS vintage cameras. We even had delicious camera cookies for our guests to enjoy thanks to Liz’s Cakes.

It’s times like these that I take a step back and feel proud of how far my business has grown. Once it was a dream and now it’s a massive part of my life that I am so passionate about and so thankful to have.

I spent a lovely afternoon with Emma and Matt enjoying the crispness of a late Autumn afternoon in the gorgeous Blue Mountains. In the midst of planning their wedding, they both appreciated spending an hour or so together with no distractions to capture some moments during their engagement.

Matt and Emma met a few years back on the Oxfam Trailwalker 100km hike. They met at the 60km mark to be exact!  A mutual friend introduced them, but at the time it was all a blur amongst the sweat, fatigue and adrenaline of the challenge. It was Matt’s ruggedness, handsomeness and his athletic abilities (as he decided he would run some of the way!) that caught Emma’s eye. Meeting again at a post-event party they clicked immediately – and it was on from there!

Though Emma had planned to relocate overseas to work, the heart wants what the heart wants and they made it work with distance between them for months on end. Matt would fly out to meet Emma when when it worked and the two would adventure throughout Europe. They travelled through Spain, Portugal, France and then in Monaco, in the private dining room of the famous Monte Carlo Casino Matt proposed! It was such an amazing moment – (although apparently the waiters weren’t quite sure what was going on, as neither Emma or Matt’s French was up to scratch!) They continued to travel through Italy, Greece, Turkey and Germany before heading back to England and then eventually home to Australia to plan their October wedding at the Hydro Majestic in Medlow Bath. What a story to tell!

It was so lovely to meet up with this pair again and I am so looking forward to their gorgeous, Blue Mountains wedding in Spring!

This sweet pair were a little shy and timid to start off with, but by the end of their engagement session they had relaxed and were enjoying the amazing sights that Flat Rock in Wentworth Falls has to offer.

Dawn and Norman met back in 2010 at their church. It was a friendship that blossomed over time into something more. When the time was right,  Norman asked Dawn’s best friend to take her to lunch followed by her favourite park in Wahroonga. Whilst the girls were chatting away, he appeared playing a song and then surprised Dawn with a proposal.

I am looking forward to capturing their gorgeous winter wedding next month. They will be married in a church and then will celebrate the evening in style at the very gorgeous Curzon Hall in Marsfield.

Aimee and Shane were married in the magical secret circle at Bilpin Resort on a sun kissed Autumn day. After a beautiful woodsy ceremony, the celebrations continued on into the night inside the glowing marquee.

Their day was filled with colour and fun in every way. Aimee wore a custom made gown that had a tint of purple in the skirt & red soled Louis Vuitton’s. The blooms were vibrant and the reception was decorated with colourful paper cranes, balloons and confetti.  I especially loved the cultural element of the henna painted on Aimee’s hands and feet to represent the joining of her’s and Shane’s families. The day was a whirlwind of fun, laughter and beautiful memories.

Lisa and Luke are marrying next month at Ottimo House. In preparation for their big day, we had a little practice with their engagement session. They chose Flat Rock in Wentworth Falls. This is another gorgeously picturesque location in the Blue Mountains. It is famous for its openness – it is a lookout without any barricades. For this reason I wouldn’t recommend it for those afraid of heights. It really is a great spot for soaking in a magnificent view.

This was the first session that I’ve had at this location where the sun wasn’t blazing down. I actually really enjoyed the look that the moody, blue clouds created. Because there was no haze, you could really see the blueish richness to the mountains. We took some photos on the rock, in the native greenery (some of which was burnt in a bushfire last year) and on the dusty, dirt road.

These two were so incredibly natural to photograph which always translates so beautifully into pictures. We pride ourselves on capturing natural interactions and real moments. We won’t to capture genuine memories of this time special time in your relationship.

Karley and Joel are tying the knot next month. They chose the beautiful Lennox Bridge in the Blue Mountains for their engagement session. Though there were barricades around the bridge prohibiting us to use some areas, we wandered around the gorgeous surrounding bushland and took some really beautiful pictures.

A perfect way to prepare for your big day is to have a pre-wedding/engagement session so that you can meet your photographer again and get a feel for being in front of the camera. We have a very natural style so we 100% recommend doing one.

It was really so great to catch up with these two and I can’t wait to capture their April wedding.
