Nathaniel was approaching two months old at his session, so he was out of the newborn phase. Being a little bit older meant that he was deliciously roly poly and that he was beginning to develop his own little personality (which translates so well in photos!) We were very fortunate that he slept for a brief window during his session so that we were able to capture a nice mix of sleepy and awake photos. What a cutie!

Cleo’s session had more of a natural, lifestyle feel. The colours and props used were based around a neutral colour palette. Though Cleo wasn’t very sleepy, we were able to capture a lovely selection of pictures of her on her own, as well as some family portraits (including her cheeky big brother!)

Lily was a teeny, tiny little lady. She slept for the majority of her session allowing us to capture some lovely sleepy shots. Once she awoke, we had a very short window before she made it very clear that she was finished for the day! – (She may be little, but she certainly can hold her own!) Though she was unsettled for the last leg of her session, we still managed to get some beautiful family photos.

In Joni’s session we captured a nice mix of sleepy and awake photos. Though we incorporated a few bonnets, the overall feel of the shoot was more natural/lifestyle. She was an expressive little one which translated so beautifully on camera.

Violet was a dream to photograph. She slept for almost the full duration of her session, which meant that we were able to get a lovely selection of sleepy poses – some of which included a lace jumpsuit that her mum had bought especially for the occasion. She was such a sweetheart!

Emily and Aaron had an intimate wedding at Moby Dicks at Whale Beach. Their wedding was as traditional as they wanted it to be – it had a relaxed vibe which is our favourite kind. The venue overlooked Whale Beach and was bright and airy. The styling was elegant and classy and the florals were absolutely divine (what can I say? I am a sucker for hydrangeas!) All of the of the food, from the cake, to the gelato and the catering, looked so delicious and visually beautiful.

After the ceremony, they mingled with their guests, enjoyed some gelato and had some pictures on the beach. It was a misty, overcast day which resulted in some very romantic looking photos. The evening brought a glowing reception filled with dancing, more delicious food and warm hearts. It was such a delight to capture this occasion.

Valentina was approaching 4 weeks at her session. I really enjoyed photographing this little sweetheart. She was a dream to photograph. She had some pictures with her older sister, Natalia, and the two of them together was cuteness overload!

Logan was 3 weeks old at her session. This little sweetie pretty much slept right through it! I think we spent more time attempting to get her older sister to have some photos with her (typical 2 year olds! Hahahaha!)

One piece of advice for sibling photos (especially if your little ones are under the age of 5) is to let go of your expectations and work with them the best that you can. Toddlers are unpredictable little humans and forced photos don’t always turn out like you pictured them.

Bodhi was approaching 5 weeks old at his session. This little man was incredibly roly-poly! What a cutie. It was incredibly special to photograph this newborn session as I have captured special moments of his parents from their engagement. Following my clients throughout their different chapters in life is very special indeed.
